Investments in fixed assets [Annual investments in fixed assets in the industrial enterprises of the member countries of the European Communities]

Abstract

In bulletin No 2/1972 of 'Statistical Studies and Surveys' the Statistical Office of the European Communities (SOEC) published the detailed results for the period 1964 to 1970 of the coordinated annual inquiry into capital investment in industry carried out in the six original Member States in accordance with a directive issued by the Council of the European Economic Community on 30 July 1964.1 Bulletin No 2/1974 of the same series dealt with the results of the inquiries covering the years 1971 and 1972. It also contained data, obtained from national sources, on investment in industry in recent years in the three new Member States.' the United Kingdom, Ireland and Denmark. Bulletin No 2/1975 gave the results of the inquiries carried out in the Member States for 1973. It should be noted that it is from that year that the three new Member States were required to adapt their existing inquiries to conform with the Count,'I directive of 1964.
