dc.description.abstract	At the end of March l978, 6,0 million unemployed persona were registered at public employment offices in the Community. This represents 5.7% of the civilian working population, compared with 5·9% at the end of February 1978, The rate of decrease in unemployment since January of this year has been slower than that observed in 1977 (-4.2% between January and March 1978 compared with -6.2 %between January and March 1977). Moreover, the data corrected for seasonality indicate a alight increase in unemployment in the Community.
