dc.description.abstract | In spring 2011, considerable challenges still lie ahead for the euro area economy, which require a comprehensive policy response. Especially in the light of the sovereign debt problems in some euro-area Member States, the most significant challenges are to ensure fiscal sustainability, secure lasting growth, tackle macroeconomic imbalances, repair and strengthen the financial system, and ensure effective support for the most vulnerable Member States. |
