The survey paints a unique picture of the social situation in the enlarged Union, a picture that includes both objective and subjective elements. The main results of the second EQLS will be published in spring 2009, followed by a series of more detailed reports around key policy themes.= Η έρευνα για την ποιότητα ζωής στην Ευρώπη (EQLS) αποτελεί ένα μοναδικό εγχείρημα διερεύνησης της ποιότητας ζωής σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα χωρών. Συνιστά βασική πηγή πληροφοριών η οποία αναδεικνύει τις προκλήσεις που αντιμετωπίζει η ΕΕ σε θέματα κοινωνικής και οικονομικής πολιτικής υπό το πρίσμα των δύο πρόσφατων κύκλων διευρύνσεων. Η έρευνα αποτυπώνει μια μοναδική εικόνα των κοινωνικών συνθηκών στη διευρυμένη Ένωση, περιλαμβάνοντας τόσο αντικειμενικά όσο και υποκειμενικά στοιχεία.
