The Erasmus + programme was launched in 2014 with the main objective to enhance internationalization of youth educational and training activities across Europe. The implementation of the EU central policies on socio-economic growth, youth development, employment and innovation is at the heart of every educational initiative included under the Erasmus+ actions. The purpose of this mid-term evaluation report is to offer insights on the implementation of Erasmus+ actions in Greece, to trace possible problems and malfunctions and to propose possible courses of action in order to achieve the Erasmus+ proclaimed goals and objectives. In the national context, Erasmus+ remains a highly relevant programme in relation to responding to the Greek needs in Education, Training and Youth. Erasmus+ is effective in reaching its objectives, since it’s seen as an important instrument not only for the implementation of the EU policy on Education, Training and Youth field but also the covering of a wide range of current needs of the young population of the country, in order to facilitate their better integration into society and in the labor market during the economic recession time.
