dc.description.abstract | The 2010 Annual Report on the Application of the Charter informs the public and the other EU institutions – for the first time – about the application of the Charter following the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty. The report includes concrete examples on how the Charter is being applied by the EU institutions and the Member States in cases where they are implementing EU law. It highlights how the fundamental rights enshrined in the Charter are relevant across a range of policies for which the Union is responsible and must always be taken into careful consideration when designing and implementing EU actions: from justice via transport policy to border management. |
