dc.description.abstract | After rising fairly rapidly in the 1960's and 1970's the total number of full-time pupils and students in the twelve Member States reached a maximum of 71,9 million in the school year 1977/78. Since then the number has gradually fallen to 68.4 million in 1985/86 and further decline appears probable for at least the next 10 years. |
