dc.description.abstract	Young people stay longer in full-time education than was the case ten years ago. For example in the Community of Ten in 1980/81, 36% of 18-year old men and the same percentage of women of the same age were full-time students compared with corresponding figures of 28% for men and 23% for women in 1970/71. A relative increase of an approximately similar nature is to be found in the enrolment ratios for all ages from 15 to 24 years, although considerable differences occur between individual member countries.
