dc.description.abstract | The hotel and restaurant sector (HORECA) plays an important role as a job creator in both the whole economy and the service sector in many EU Member States. • Young people dominate the labour force in HORECA. The age class between 15 and 34 years accounts for more than 48% of all employment in this sector. • In almost all EU countries women account for the majority of employment in HORECA. However, a large number of them work part-time. |
