dc.description.abstract | The number of registered unemployed in the Community of the Twelve fell from 15.7 million at the end of May to 15.5 million at the end of June 1986. The drop of 173 000 was accounted for exclusivel~ bx registered unemployed males. Reductions in registered male unemployment in the first months of 1986 could be attributed largely to seasonal factors. However, as the seasonally-adjusted figures for the Community indicate, this Latest drop could reflect an actual slight fall in the numbers registering at unemployment offices. |
