dc.description.abstract	Following a drop of over 360 000, due to seasonal factors, the number of persons registered as unemployed at unemployment offices in the Community of the Twelve at the end of April 1986 stood at 16 million. The drop in unemployment mainly affected men. Male unemployment in t~e Community fell by 3,4X, compared with a drop of only 0,5% in female unemployment. Particularly large falls in the number of men registered as unemployed were recorded in Denmark (-16,7%), Greece (-16,5%) and the F.R. of Germany <-14,3X).
