| dc.description.abstract | At the end of July 1985 the unemployment rate among the civilian working popu-lation in the Community <excluding Greece) was 11.0r., as compared with 10.8X in the previous month. The number of persons aged under 25 registered as unemployed at employment of-fices rose considerably (+ 4.3X), whereas the number of older unemployed per-sons remained virtually unchanged. A marked increase in youth unemployment is characteristic of the summer months. Of the 191 000 additional registered un-employed young persons in the Community in July 1985, 122 000 (64X) were wo-men. |
