dc.description | NOTE: More detailed information on unemployment is contained in the yearly publication 'Employment and unemployment'. This monthly bulletin was prepared by the division 'Employment and labour force sample survey'. |
dc.description.abstract | In November 1985 there was little change in the labour market Community. The number of persons registered as unemployed offices in the Community of the Nine stood at 12.7 million, an unemployment rate among the civilian working population of 17 December 1985 situation in the at unemployment corresponding to 11.2X. Similarly, the seasonally-adjusted data for the Community of the Nine was stable but suggests a slightly falling trend. This was also reflected in the national calculations for the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom. In Ireland, however, a slight rise was recorded, while in the Federal Republic of Germany exceptional weather conditions produced an above-average rise in the number of unemployed. The large swings in the number of unemployed in Den-mark in recent months were, in tu~n, attributable to the fact that in Denmark the highest unemployment levels for this time of year are usually recorded in October. |
