dc.description.abstract	At end of November 1982 the number of registered unemployed in the Community of Nine was 11.6 million according to a EUROSTAT estimate. This represents 10. 5%. of the total civilian working population. The exact determination of the total figure, as well as the rate, in the form used up to the present, is no longer possible in view of a change in the make-up of the unemployment total in the United Kingdom. As from January 1983 there will have to be a break in the series for the Community.
