dc.description.abstract	After the lowest figure for unemployment during 1980 recorded for the month of~. the number of registered unemployed increased b,y almost 140 000 to 6.2 million at the end of June 1980. Registered unempl~ed as a percentage of the total civilian working population rose from 5.6~ at the end of ~ to 5·7 percent at the end of June 1980. The seasonally corrected figures, as for each month since March 1980, showed a clear increase.
