Rapid Information. Employees by NACE: Classes of Industry in the Community 1974-1979 (Employment and Unemployment).

Abstract

On the basis of the latest available statistical data according to NACE classes, the Statistical Office estimates that, in the Community as a whole, the number of employees engaged in Industry declined between April 1974 and April 1979 from 39·4 to 37*1 million. When considered year by year, it is seen that the greatest falls in employment occurred in the crisis years 1975 (­ 3.0$) and I976 (­ 2.6%). During 1977 and 1979 the level of employment vías fairly well maintained but in 1978 a reduction of 0.7% occurred.
