dc.description.abstract | The European Commission has approved funding for 10 new environmental innovation projects in seven countries under the LIFE+ Information & Communications programme in 2009. These projects will either raise the profile of environmental issues, or provide training and awareness-raising for the prevention of forest fires. The projects are led by ‘beneficiaries’, or project promoters, based in Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom. They represent a total investment of €12.9 million, of which the EU will provide some €6.3 million. |
