Abstract

The indices of industrial production published in the first part of this issue are based on the average of 1970 = 100. The indices concerning the 9 EEC-countries are partially calculated on that base and communicated by the member countries' themselves or partially converted by the EUROSTAT. The weighting scheme of the national indices into Community indices is based on the gross value added at factor costs in 1970. The second part contains data, in physical units on the pro-duction of approximately 400 products. The German data refer to the Federal territory and Berlin (West).
