ECSC financial report 1980

Abstract

This financial report covers the year 1980, the 28th year of the European Coal and Steel Community's existence and the 26th year of its borrowing and lending operations. Since the entry into force of the Treaty establishing a Single Council and a Single Commission of the European Communities ( 1967). the Commission has exercised the powers vested in the former High Authority, each of the three Communities continuing to be governed by its own Treaty. Consequently, this report refers only to the 'C9mmission' of the European Communities unless it is absolutely necessary to use the name 'High Authority'.
