Commission report to the budgetary authority on guarantees covered by the general budget - situation at 30 June 2000.

Abstract

This report describes the situation as regards budget guarantees at the date of the report.It is in response to the statement made by the Commission, when the vote was taken onsupplementary and amending budget No 1/91, that it would report to the budgetaryauthority twice a year on budget guarantees and the corresponding risks.This report is presented in accordance with Article 134 of the Financial Regulationapplicable to the general budget of the European Communities. The risks covered by the Community budget derive from a variety of lending andguarantee operations which can be divided into two categories: loans withmacroeconomic objectives and loans with microeconomic objectives.
