| dc.description.abstract | The present study on the communication potential of local and regional authorities (LRA) focuses on the willingness, ability, resources, and potential need for support of LRAs in the context of communicating the EU and more specifically the 2014 European elections. As such, the study looks back into previous efforts of LRAs to communicate the EU; it observes the current communication channels and their effectiveness, and it also reports on the willingness of LRA to support an EU information campaign in the context of the 2014 European elections. In this introduction, we first focus on the background and the structure of the study. Finally, we pay acknowledgements to all those who contributed to the development and findings of this study |
